After a 5.5 month wait ()I've got my De Rosa at last & it's a beauty! :D:D
Official size 68.5cm
It's not completely finished as the LBS didn't have the right SRAM BB fitting that fits the bike, so they've loaned me a Campag Athena crankset for a few days & they'll come round to my house to change it in a few days time.

Pictures taken inside as it's not at all nice out today..

I'll look out for it chained up outside Norbury Grill.

    Nice.
  • Err, lot of headset spacers there. I'm not trying to be clever or cause problems, but I was once warned by a bike shop mechanic about setting the handlebars/stem high. He told me it wasn't safe to do so. Guess it depends on what the steerer is designed for.

But still, nice looking bike, like De Rosa's alot!

Fair point but completely setup by the LBS so hopefully they know what they they were doing - also done like that as it replicates my old Roubaix sizing so I'll quite possibly be changing it after a while.

You need to cut in above the skirting board!

    Nice bike, though.
I bet it's well worth the lengthy wait...

On another point, I also tried those bars out on my EPS, however the campag hoods didn't sit that geat so were uncomfortable. I perfer 3T.

  • Looks great, enjoy the bike.

A personal rant - I do NOT get these months long waits for production frames - is it a case of the producers trying to "create a demand through artificial shortages"??

I just took delivery of a custom handbuilt - 4 months from deposit to delivery.

I don't get the wait times, really don't.

Quick update - managed to crash into the back of a car back in April - triple pelvic fracture  - off work for 2 months, still can't get on a road bike  but managed to do 15mins on a gym bike the other day :D
Bike needs to be written off, per LBS :cry: - too fast a crash so too dangerous to trust riding it again.
