spd pedals

just bought a set of shimano spd shoes to go on my new bike,rode briefly yesterday for about 20 mins,getting used to clipping in and out,do they make the bottom of your legs ache just above the ankles,is this common till you get used to them?

any advice thanks.

I found my knees and ankles pretty sore after the first few rides. Try changing the postion of the cleat in your shoe a few times and see whats most comfortable for you.

Get used to things hurting with these pedals, usually caused when you fall off because you cant get you foot down time time

cod liver oil helps the achy knees! mind you when it gets to lunchtime ish the cod flavour burps start to reer their ugly head! :roll:

it's because you need to get some propper pedals otherwise known as flats,,, :shock:

have you got them set up right it can take a little fettling to get them set up right for you,,

I was going to say, if they're that difficult to get in and out of have you adjust the spring tension? (Assuming of course the pedals have that on them).
