New frame needed - lacking inspiration.

Trouble is I'm lacking ideas!

I liked my Nero Corsa but it is now dead. I need a new frame for general road - typically fairly fast 50 -80 mile weekend rides. I need a new frame. I'm thinking of a Cannondale CAA9 or another Nero Corsa but will consider any brand or material. Would ride all year with crud guards. I already have a singlespeed commuter by the way.

I do like a bargain - any ideas?

Thanks.

Chain Reaction still have some of the old Principia aluminium frames in stock - I've got one of the models that took mudguards (don't think they've got any of them though) and I'm really impressed with it. They had a reputation as being very stiff so probably similar to a cannondale. The anodised finish on some of them is very tough too. Just check they come with a headset as I seem to remember someone mentioning some had odd sized headtubes - not certain on that but best to mention it.

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

What sort of budget have you set?

Well for a 'regular' frame about 600 max. I'd rather spend less.

For my 'dream' frame with a massive reduction I'd up to 800. Pretty unlikely to find that though.

I'd did see the principa frames - they look good.

I had an email the other day from Ribble about old stock they were selling off cheap... Did you get that? Some real bargains to be had there! I would buy off them, but I've just spent a stupid amount of money on my new ProLite!
