Creaking SPD shoes
I have just got into road biking and bought my first road bike on saturday. I have been out and about on it, but my SPD shoes are making quite a loud creaking sound. I have had them around 6 months (used them on mountain bike prior to road bike, without problem).
I checked the cleats and they are done up tight. One thing which may be effecting it is that one of the pedals cant seem to stay fully tight. After a ride you can tighten it half a turn by hand, which is obviously too loose!
Any ideas on wether these two problems are linked? If not, how can I fix either of them?
Thanks,
Ollie

They're linked in my opinion.
Is either the pedal or crank thread knackered?Ben

Well my guess would be the pedal thread is shot, as I doubt the less-than-a-week-old cranks would be stripped already :S Well at least I hope not0

Take 'em off and clean the spindles and crank threads. Grease and refit the pedals and tighten them nice n firm. See how they sound after that...Ben
