Hi there

Can anyone recommend some Waterproof Gloves?....though not Sealskinz (a triumph of marketing brand name over performance)

Don't need to be thermal, just wind and waterproof - my hands can't take the cold numb pain anymore!

  • Just got a pair of the new 2010 DHB (Merston I think) winter gloves from Wiggle, seem to perform OK. Plenty warm enough even down to zero degrees last couple of weeks, and have been waterproof in light rain, not got caught out in anything heavy yet  Your hand do sweat a bit in them, they feel clammy when you take them off, but it`s not affected the warmth as yet.

  • I second JohnnyAllez.
Yesterday it was pi**ing down on my commute back.
First baptism of fire (erm) of the gloves, who had kept my fingers warm in the cold.

Ended up soaked, but the gloves worked a treat, highly recommended.

  • Sealskinz work a treat - which ones are you all using? Mine have had a year od use in the wet and never given up. And they've been abused!

The flouresecnet yellow ones - I've used them for about a year and aren't especially warm or waterproof but I wanted something pretty visible.

    Wouldn't buy a pair again.

    DHBs seem quite popular

  • Did you have these?

If so they are the waterproof ones which really are waterproof. They are soldier proof and I have worn them in all sorts without getting wet (I have the black ones). They've been through the washer and drier about a 20 times without losing any performance other than the cuff finally came unstitched on one.

I use my old ski gloves, which are usually gore-tex or something along those lines.
