He's a TT specialist so either he'll solo away for the win or he'll be dropped on a hill, right?

One Cat 2 climb and a Cat 1 still to go.

    Columbia chasing apparently.

Just to get one over on Sky, no doubt.

I wonder if Wiggo realises he's in a break with a Puertoista.
  • Their lead is plummeting - down to 2.48.

Looks like Wiggo will have to display some of that TT prowess if he wants this stage! Can't see it happening though...always thought of him more as a sprinter

When I read "Kilómetro 82: Vicioso, Wiggins y Feillu están a punto de coronar el alto de Colmenar (3ª)." I took it that the three breakaways were after having a heart attack at the height of the Colmenar..

Long way to go still but the gaps under two minutes. It'll take a real specialist TT effort to stay away now.

Could this be a stage race where Cavendish fails to win a stage? From memory I think he won stages in every single stage race he rode, except one, during 2009. Columbia-HTC are chasing the break so we'll see what happens...

Only reason Wiggo is on a break today is because he didn't try hard enough yesterday. Too much energy left over.

He has attacked to prove that he's a real champion!

....Multiple world and olympic titles and 4th in the tour clearly aren't enough ;-)

  • Wiggins is also a good barroudeur when he wants to be. Hope he holds out. Going to be difficult when you have one of the best domestiques in the peloton working for a sprinter who hasn't added anything to his 2010 palmares.

so wiggins feillu and vicious person now on own with a smaller peleton behind by a minute or so? is that right? if Cav hasnt made it over the cat 1 in the group colombia will stop the fast chase?, nearest one is vicious person 2 mins behind rogers in gc

I don't think Cav is in the peloton, there are reportedly on 25 riders. So Columbia are working for Mick Rogers and his defence of the GC.

Maybe they'll let them keep a minute, unless HTC think they can win it with someone else.

    Maybe Wiggo reads these forums?

We'll soon know if he wins and dedicates the result "to everyone who doubts me, especially Frenchfighter"

Frank Windy was in the break a few days ago, too. My money's on him to breeze to victory.

Maybe that was a Sky Plus thing? ...Dave Brailsford had paused the sprint to look for marginal gains
