I started biking seriously in March of 2009. I thought it would be fun to start a blog about my opinions on bike parts, bike maintenance, and whatever else I can think of to help new people get into the sport. Especially people that are on a budget like me that can't afford the pricey high end components and bikes. I'll try to update it as much as I can. http://michiganmtbr.wordpress.com/. I just started the blog a few days ago so there will be much more to come.

    Looks good!

Note that your fork modification does not change the spring rate - you are increasing spring preload which will reduce sag.
  • Yep I know, With it having an extra 10mm in there the sag is really reduced. Now If I back the pre load off all the way it's just about like it was at it's stiffest setting. So It gives me a better adjustment for my weight. I tried to find a firmer spring kit but they don't make one, this is what the manufacturer told me to do. So far so good!
  • What a good idea.

Used to blog the progress with my Landrover when I used to hunt and shoot.

    MTB blog.............Nice one pal! :)
