sks mudguards wont fit to front brake

i have tried fitting my new sks mudguards to my trek pilot 1.0, but the front fixing wont work, it fits on inside of the forks but it wont work as the front bolt fits inside the forks with the bolt and threads fitted to the front brake caliper.

    Fit it in front of the fork. That's what I've always done.
    More problems but still living....
