Front fork question

Hi, I'm new here but, I was wondering if anyone knows if I can change the front forks on my Scott P2 to carbon fibre forks. It is fitted with heavy suspension forks at the moment but, in the four years I have had the bike I have always had them locked out because I always ride on the road. These have now started to become a little rusty and I would love to be able to change them for a nice set of carbon forks.
If this is possible can anyone recommend some forks and the size I may need to purchase.

You need a fork with a threadless 1 1/8th inch steerer, with disc mounts, suitable for 700c wheels and accompanying tyres.
If not, what is the spec?0 -
HI, Yes it is very nearly this but, an older model with V brakes, will this make a difference to the forks?

Okay dokey, you will probably need a 700c fork with v brake mounts. Beware though that some may not have clearance for anything more than thin road tyres though. You could go for an MTB 29er fork which is the MTB 700c standard.

Alternatively measure the crown to axle height of your current fork.
29er offsets are different from standard forks though.0
