Marmite is chemically addictive apparently - releases some chemical in your brain.
I heard about this, It's called the 'Gay Chemical'. People who like marmite are mentally gay. Fact.

Marmite is a great hangover cure! 8)

Due to it's natural saltyness and copious amounts of vitamins
  • Love marmite.....have it every day for brekky...
However, I once had a dream that I hated it. When I woke up, I tried to have some for breakfast and I nearly vomitted. It put me off for two or three weeks.

Thankfully managed to wean myself back on the good stuff!

    Marmite is amazing.. love it!

My bro has just got back from Oz, and brought me back some of this... Vegemite with cheese, but worst name for a product ever?! Not tried it yet, but I'll be slapping a wad of that on some toast later :D

*grumbles something about Kraft ruining everything*
  • Vegemite is the Oz "equivalent" to Marmite. It's nice but no cigar.. nothing tops genuine Marmite.
I wonder how long it will be before Kraft (owners of the Vegemite brand and now Cadbury's brand) will buy the Marmite brand out too?

but Vegemite (Marmite) and Cheese is good.

just been reading the Vegemite wiki. it was called Parwill for a time.

    "Marmite but Parwill"

  • in Cheddar (Somerset) at the Cheddar Gorge Cheese shop you can buy Cheddar cheese with marmite mixed into it. That just rocks and rolls! Will definitely pick some up again when I am back down that way

Just asked a work colleage about Marmite, says he hates it but loves Twiglets..
  • I had a twiglet today for the first time in about 16 years. Now I remember why it's been so long! They taste like cigarette butts. They're horrible. They should be banned as well as marmite.

The simple pleasure of Marmite on toast and a cup of tea :D

The Aussies know nothing of yeast-based spreads, Vegemite is horrible stuff!
