GP Marseilleise - anyone seen results?

Despite all the big names at the TdU for me for the last 15 years I've been following the pro scene the GP Marseilles and Etoile de Besseges have been *THE* season openers.

I mean, if the pros can get out and race I can certainly get my fat-dimpled butt on the saddle for 2-3 hours in january.

I've not seen a jot on real-time results? A french winner peut-etre? On verra!

    I notice Hoogerland is up there!

    I read recently that he has 8400km in his lefs since Nov 20th!!!!!!!!!!!! That is about 70 miles a day.

    He is also targetting wins or good placings in Amstel, Liege and even Flanders.

    It came down to a sprint finish. Cummings seems to do well in these early season races, watch out for him in the Etoile de Bessege stage race coming up. It seems mad watching them race in January, more than ever given the cold weather that's hung over so much of Europe.

    Interesting that S Davis didn't finish for Astana. If it's anything comme le Enfer de Ashdown today, and at 3C and 50kmh breeze I'm sure it was, there might have been some chutes.

    Looking fwd to pix - what are they wearing in the finale I wonder? Anyone with their jersey's open?

    Thanks for the sharp eyes...as 40 nears my eyesight is disappearing. Could be an Orbea with the funky heat tube badge/cable stop?

    Decent result for Cummings, I suppose.

    I hope he reaches his full potential at Sky, after an 'interesting' time at Barloworld. Have to say, I don't think he (Cummings) came across in a particularly good light in the recent CycleSport interview, but he clearly wasn't happy.

    Also interesting to hear (albeit from the under-fire former DS) that despite living in Italy and riding for an Italian-speaking team, he still doesn't make the effort to speak the language. Perhaps cycling is becomming more like football?!
