Trex EX9 and On-one Inbred!

Changed most things on the Trek, not a Sram fan so most bits have been changed to Shimano!! Even with the seatpost she still comes in at only 27.3lbs!
This is the steed for the trail centers or all dayers!!!

I thought a build like this would have come out at around 25lbs, or even lighter...
Was thinking of a similar build, but with my Proflex 768, Sram, XT, Mavics, Easton at around 28lbs, might not be worth it. Prolex got more travel too.
Lovely looking rig though, nice and clean looking.
Get some mud on it!!!0 -
Don't forget I'm running some wide tires on the Trek and something I didn't mention was i'm using slime filled tubes which will put a bit of weight on!!

Gotcha! So, How does it ride is what I need to know at some point.
I "may" be coming into some money later this year, and as the EX 9 Alu is only 200g more in frame weight than the Carbon version, "That''ll do fer me Tommy!"
It would be on my Top 3 with Tomac, and Lappiere.

Yeah she rides good! I'm running a 70mm stem instead of the 100mm it came with, means I'm not so stretched and a little sharper steering!!
Also I run the suspension on the harder side to stop pedal bob, with the lockout on the shock I get virtually none, still very smooth though even over the small bumps!!
She climbs as well as she descends, would def recommend getting one!! 0 -
Stunning bikes. Esp the Trek. I have the 08 EX8 and love it. But always regretted not going for the EX9. Let me konw if it ever goes up for sale.0
