  • I wouldn't bother either way... ISIS drive is turd. It lasted less than a week on my bike, I gott annoyed with it and bought a HT2 crankset.

correctly fitted HT2 is where its at.... i'd save a bit more and go for this.

do you actually want a single ring upfront though? I take it this is for the Giant?

    no the "new" one.

    and your frame bb width.

yes its for my giant, TBH i'd rather not change the bb at all as its only been in 3wks but finding cheap 2nd hand single ring stuff in square taper is proving hard

  • ahh fair enough.

I'd still buy the deore in 26.36.48. then you don't even need to buy a new chainring.

Oh and it comes with BB.... you'd need some sort of chainguide though but you could just use your front mech.
  • new splined bb: 73mm shell and 118mm shaft

If your still after a chainset to fit your square taper BB , then look at this truvativ one , £12
and you can lose the other 2 rings if needed ?

    so your bb is 68mm

and the new bb is 73mm.

    see any problems yet?

is it an ISIS bb? if yes did you get the spacers and the o ring?

118mm axle is a bit wide for a standard MTB
