I was going to give my bike a clean today. Do a bit of maintenence on it and try and get the BSO up and running.

Went down to get breakfast and looked out the kitchen window to see the nice sunny morning had turned into a blizzard that is dumping a new layer of snow on the ground :( And I've no room to work in the shed.

sigh Roll on summer.

It's now back to being sunny here now as well. Snow is still lying though.

I'm in EC1N and it's fooking bright outside.

Here in Lewisham, too. Though the wind's so strong and swirling so much that I haven't yet seen a flake actually hit the ground.

Have fun on the ride home, boys and girls. I haven't left the house all day - looked at that wind and decided to stay inside and make industrial quantities of fish pie and some brownies instead.

Sat in my south-facing office this morning, not a cloud to be seen, the sun beaming right at me, lovely and cosy and warm. Spring's on the way. Nice day to go for a stroll round town on my lunch.

By the time I got from the office to the outside, it was snowing :?

Mother Nature has decided to underline the fact it's been the worst winter in Scotland since records began by dumping yet more snow on us.

Could I have picked a worse winter to decide to start cycling again.

Sorry, having a mad moment as I've no idea how that could possibly work :?

Yes - but think how you'll feel cycling in the spring sunshine, birds coughing in the trees etc
