i was inserting a new pad today and when pushing in the piston for the pad to fit the metal tip that the pad hooks onto has come off, doesn't look snapped, just our of its small housing it seems.

what can i do here? dismantle calliper?

can i put the metal tip on the piston?

thanks

    normally new piston.

you really should only push the pistons back with the old pads in place.
