If you just want to ride the park you can rent a place, use a hotel or camp and get a lift pass.0

As Whistler's just gone bankrupt I'd hold back on making any plans on going there.

Depends if they were thinking of going to ride the trails or the bike park. I'm pretty sure the resort will be picked up by somebody else, AFAIK it was the parent company that got into all the trouble, rather than the resort itself.0 -
intrawest has gone bankrupt not whistler, it's the company who run the mountain,,
i'm pretty sure it will be bought as it's an established buisness.....www.bearbackbiking.com

The Intrawest news will have little or affect the day to day running of the Whistler Bike Park. Intrawest is a huge company that has over stretched is self financially and has been caught out by the global recession, but Whistler is a high worth asset, and as such is getting the focus at the moment as the most likely asset to be sold. If the Olympics weren’t happening there next month, we probably wouldn’t even know about the possible sale. Anyway, if it is sold as a resort, then there will be a smooth transition of ownership and it will be business as usual.
Remember that riding in Whistler is far more than the bike park, there is a huge network of awesome trails and just a short trip to Pemberton, Squamish and the North Shore, where the All Mountain trails and Freeriding is awesome.
For all round packages in Whistler you should also check out Ticket2RideBC. They offer a full range of guided and unguided packages for riding in Whistler and the surrounding area. They currently are running their early bird booking discounts.0
