Bought off another member but so pleased with it had to show it off...

Rotors being upgraded to 203mm front and 180mm rear this weekend.
Shimano SPD's now on.

Think the wheels will be changed next, then some Formula R1 brakes to finish the bike.

Any suggestions for wheels would be welcome.

    Tweaking has begun...

    Changed the stem today for a Thompson 90mm as the existing stem was very short.

    The front disc got bent in transit so I have taken the opportunity to up the discs to 203mm front and 180mm rear.

    So tonight I shall be fitting this little lot ;D

    its to protect the frame from scuff marks made by the heel of your shoes! especiall f you wear 5-10's :)

    XTR chain fitted.

    And more appropriate tyres fitted, Maxxis Larsen TT rear and Larsen TT Super Tacky front.

    They were awesome on the singletrack and rocky descent at Llandegla and ClimachX but did get 'grabbed' in muddy sections so not an allround tyre IMO.

    Will be great on the Giant for trail centres and I'll use my Trek HT for XC.

    A few updates have taken the bike from 30lbs to 28.1lbs.

    Fulcrum Red Metal 3 tubeless ready wheels
    Rear Conti Mountain King 2.2 UST
    Front Conti Mountain King 2.4 UST
    Front 203mm Avid G3 Clean Sweep Rotor
    Rear 185mm Avid G3 Clean Sweep Rotor
    Flying Snakes sealed gear cables

    The Fulcrum's run so much smoother than the WTB Laserdiscs.

    Great looking bike mate...some fab tweaks too....any sign of the R1s you spoke of or are the bigger rotors doing the trick??

    Will keep my eye out for you at Llandegla this Summer.

    Brakes feel good with the rotor increases for my pace.

    Hope to get to work harder as I gain pace.
