Hi Everybody,

Thought I post/share some pic’s of my new bike. It’s been awhile since I post up “My Custom Cannondale Scalpel Carbon Team 2009 “thread.

My other Scalpel Team CFC 2010 (18.6lbs)
http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... t=12697662

As some of you know I’m a big Cannondale Lefty Fan.

I’ve been doing alot of XC lately. I’ve wanted a stiffer and light bike. So I decided to buy a Hardtail (Should help me climb those long steep hills). Anyway I do hope you guys like the bike as much as I’m going to enjoy riding it. :D
BTW I’m from Scotland but now living and working in Hong Kong. I like single tracks and XC. Sometime I take part in local/overseas races.

As always question and comments are most welcome.
Later on I will be doing a simple review of the bike’s performance.

Latest, latest photo 6970grams :D for a 105kg rider :)

Personally dont like the look of those Cannondales, the single suspension looks silly to me.

Bet its awesome to ride though at that weight ;)

I though about doing that too but you can't buy the Team frame separately only the Hi-Mod one. Plus most of the spec parts, I wanted and the custom colour detail bits is very nice too. And that seatpost 8)
I am happy with the spec of the bike. I know I wanted the SRAM XX set. Also I never owned a pair of DT Swiss Carbon Rims (very bling bling) :D Wheel-set before. Their wheels are light, stiff, strong and have great hubs. However I do plan on purchasing another new wheelset soon as some of the trails that I do have small but sharp rocks (carbon rims,I don't think so  ) A few thing that I didn't like: the seat was a Fi'zi:k Antares carbon rails (very light but too small), so instead I when for a custom colour Fi'zi:k Gobi XM carbon rail. I know I sacrifice weigh for comfort but my bum is in love with the Gobi XM :) Also change the handle bars to a Schmolke Carbon SL bar. Lighter and stronger ends for barends.

And in the end a complete bike is wee bit   cheaper than a custom build bike :)

Wow...just wow!!! And I don't even care for carbon frames. The green and black color scheme is sweet.

How do you like the scrub rotors. How long does the squealing last, until they break in? Still debating between Scrubs or Carver.

    Xgreygoose... I hate you.... :wink::lol:

Seriously, you have some lovely kit there mate, teamed with the Scapel, I'm so envious! I've never really been a fan of the leftys (they still don't look like they should work.. lol), but your bikes are changing my perspective of them..

You might want to put a warning in your title though.. "Due the the awesome-ness of content, viewing may cause depression"

Carver, I've heard of but never seen them around. However Scrubs are great, I've used them before and seen others using them. Monavie Cannondale Team are using them so I get to have the custom colours on my Flash :)
I haven't broke in the rotors yet on my Flash but I know its doesn't take too long. The squealing go's away after a few rides also you must use organic pads. I'm using Swiss Stop. Great pads. But beware I don't use these in very wet condition. They tend to wear pads a little quicker.

Here are some weigh pic's of the Scrub Rotor and the stock SRAM XX Rotor that came with Flash Ultimate.

What a spec - kudos to you sir 8) Especially now that you've seen the error of your ways and UPGRADED to a hardtail

Those rotors costs more than most bikes you see on the road

I'm intrigued by lefties - do they feel left-heavy at the front or is there some voodoo involved which make them balanced??? :?

Heh, no stress mate, just saying what I was thinking!

Out of interest, what will you be doing with the XX rotors mate? If you're looking to get rid, I could be very interested? PM me if you are :)

If you haven't seen this check out why, one of the reason's I love Lefty's.

Quote taken from my other thread,
Lefty’s are awesome but I guess you either love them or hate them. They are super stiff and lightweight. Only took a few rides to get use to it. Now I love them. Check out the Cannondale video and skip to 1.40mins and see for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfDuAE8HdX4 It might change your opinion on Lefty's.

And finally my anti-theft protection
