Hi Guys, another question for you...

I am now on the fixed side :D how do I remove the Freewheel (although I may not remove it) its a Dicta free wheel (16tooth).

I am also curious about chain tension, how do i get the tension tight I have tried a couple of times but I just cant seem to get it tight I guess i should be asking how much tension do I need when riding fixed gear.

Are chain tugs really worth the money....

Many thanks

Have a look at the bottom of this page, you need a freewheel remover tool, make sure you get the right one (I bought an FR-8C when I needed an FR-6)

Forgot to add, chain tension, see here:

Look for the rear wheel installation section.
  • may sound silly but how the hell do i move my brake levers? I have nigh on stripped the head of the bolts trying to loosen them!

replacing the grips the new ones are the same length as the ones removed but the new ones do not fit they over hang by 5mm...

going to adjust the chain now while i got a chance :D

  • i am going to have to go the bike shop now, my old man decided to help and used a drill while I was out of the room.... stripped both the heads then blamed me!!!

will be a good chance to get to meet the blokes who run it as it will be my first ever visit. Anyone know a good LBS around Shepherds bush and Ealing?
