Very vague question here as I'm a complete novice. I'm planning on cycling from John o'Groats to Land's End and need to buy some touring wheels as the wheels that came with the bike are of quite poor wuality and I don't think they will last. Where do I start when it comes to buying touring wheels? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a max price of £150? Also could you please advise me on some durable tyres and inner tubes too.

    Hey Billy

For wheels an option is here, speak with Steve see if he can come up with anything. What are your current wheels? If the spokes are letting you down maybe a wheel builder can rebuild them with better spokes?

As for tyres, consider Schwalbe and Continental.

Hope that helps for a start.

    Spa Cycles.
wide rims, 700x28 or wider tyres
narrow rims, 700x28 or narrower tyres

Basically, if your bike has dual pivot brakes, you probably want the narrower rims. If it has V brakes or cantilevers you probably want the wider.
