GT Aggressor XCR or Boardman Mountain bike comp 10

Hi,

As a complete newbie to mountain bike which of these bikes as the highest spec.

Will be using for on road and some off road through forests etc.

The bike as to be from Halfords no other option

Boardman is lightest, the GT has much more travel and built for harder riding. Both are great value.

Well i saw both bikes today and sat on them i really really thought the gt xcr 09 was a more bike for the money and halfords chaps said the xcr spec was alot higher aswell im really confused on what to buy lol

I had the XCR... twas a cracking bike!

As SS said... the Boardman is more XC.
The XCR is a longer travel bike with a bit more strength but has a weight penalty.

Hi,

Why have people voted more on the Boardman than the GT Aggressor i thought the spec was alot higher on the GT or are halfords kidding me.
