ipod touch for maps does anyone use it and if yes what app??

hi does anyone use ipod touch for maps and that i use mapmyride.com was wondering can i upload them onto ipod and use incase get lost out on route if any of ya know the answer would be grateful for help on app to get thanks

I haven't used it but I think there's an app called sports tracker which sounds like it could be what you're after.0

I have an app called iOSMaps by Stroika, it is based on the Ordinance Survey, so might be useful.

im sure there is an app that tracks your progress by gps, tells you how fast your going and your altitude stuff like that. I think that has maps on too.0

The iPod touch doesn't have GPS or 3G, so unless you can stop and get a wifi signal when out on your ride to check where you are you would probably be better off leaving it at home and taking a paper map.0

+1 spot on the IPod touch relies on WIFI it is useless for navigation0 -
googlemaps have an app for it, so you can check a route out before you go.....or check up if the cafe at your cake stop has wifi!0
