Hey Rick. Have you bought the LT2 to try and keep up with the big boys on the downhills? Dont be holding me up on charity lane again....
  • Started this morning stripping down the Heckler to move bits over to the Blur:

Goint out for a spin on it tomorrow night so we will see how she performs :D

Nice, but I'd have the Zaskar lol.

    I'd polish it too!
  • I have now sold the Heckler frame so i decided to lavished some money on the Blur.

Just ordered a Hope Pro3 SP AM4 wheel set on Stans Flow rims from Roger Musson @ www.wheelpro.co.uk, a pair of tubeless Kenda Nevegals, some ti bolts and blinging the brake set up a bit.

Should have it all by the end of next week.

This pic amused me - stripped down bike in the foreground, stripped down car in the background

    Bike looks great!
  • Really wanted my wheels from Roger but unfortunately due to stock shortages at Hope the earliest i would have them would be in January and i did not want to wait that long. So on the hunt i set and i found the Pro3 AM4's for a bargain price at Winstanley cycles (£304.98 v wiggle with platinum discount £339.68). Rang up to confirm stock of them then set off to collect them after a nice long ride on my malt earlier today.

    So here we go:

Just waiting on my tyres that are out of stock at Stif at the moment and it will be up and running on them. Very impressed with the build quality of the wheels and looking forward to giving them a good trashing.

Few issues with the brake calipers, the caliper caps will not come out! The bike store that was trying to remove them even managed to break there own tool trying to remove them. At this moment in time i am not that impressed. They said they had never had calipers with caps so tight and itho they were over tightened when build by hope.
