  • Ordered one well worth a punt at that price!
  • if you order more than one is delivery the same?? or do you pay one amount no matter how many you buy?

Just ordered a couple from a Hong Kong based Ebay seller. (Did it by auction and saved a few quid.) Reckon they'll make good X-mas gifts.

I look forward to the forum being inundated with helmet cam footage in January. :D

My mate has had one for about 3 or four weeks and for the price it's superb!

I've ordered one a few weeks ago so I should get it soon!

I can show you a few vids below that were taken at Nant Yr Arian, the only problem is the camera was on the bars and it looks awful when the track is twisting but you can see the quality:

This is it mounted on his helmet, he's just messing around outside his house, you can tell it will be much better though:

Those were shot with the same £12 camera????? Awesome

  • Ye it is the same camera but we paid £19 for ours with a 4gb memory card.

I will get some helmet camera footage up as soon as I get mine.

We were at the Kona Mash Up at Glyncorrwg yesterday and my mate had his camera on his helmet for a couple of race runs so I'll see if the footage is ok and then post a link.

Also found a Micro SDHC 4 GB Class 6 for about £10 but figured I'd splash out a bit. :)

Spent a few hours trying to sort the mounting of the camera to my bike and used one of the brackets and cut the 'wings' off the side and mounted it to an oversized electron bracket that I used for a Tesco torch in the past. I would post pictures but the image host I've used in the past is playing silly buggers.

MissMarple, you sir/ma'am (delete as appropriate), are a legend.. :)

Shall be ordering 2 of these methinks.. one for a spare.. at that price, you can't go wrong!

Thanks again... he's also got what essentially look like unbranded ipods for between 99p and £5... :D
  • For anyone else thinking of ordering one (as I did) just be aware that according to an email from the eBay seller, it'll take around 25 days for you to recieve your cam - should you want/need this for Christmas!

Also - remember to factor the price of an appropriate Micro SD card into the overall costs.

I think it is safe to say I am the forum bargain hunter, if not the general legend around here!

Have been using mine with Skype too, and the quality is far better than any webcam under £50!

Haven't used it on the bike yet, hence no photos due to the gearset getting re-done.

    Enjoy!
  • I've just bought one too!

What a find !- Thanks missmarple.

Who is the best seller to buy from? The link on the first page, or are there any others to recommend? About how long will postage take?

Also, exactly what type of memory card do I need to buy?

Got the imagehost to play ball at last. As per my post on the mouning bracket for OS bars.
    The bracket before the butchery

The bracket mounted on the lamp bracket.

    dscf001.jpg

I ordered the extreme sports kits from veho which doesn't hold the md80 securely but the main body of the bracket I used is the same so I can swap it around if I need to.

By the way, I hope you realise that if these never arrive or turn out to be rubbish, the entire forum is going to come and give you a biblical kicking

Good spot, hopefully 7dayshop can sort this out for me as the order hasn't been picked etc yet.

Looks like I've spent £8 on a card I don't need :( 7DS have processed my order and no repsponse to the question about my c0ck-up :(
