I just found out that I was accepted for scholarship, which means I'll start my "do it all" bike build this spring.

Now, if only I knew a way how to tell at home that I'll be spending 80% of it on a bike. :|

Will probably spend around £600 changing the frame, fork and wheels.

I finished the first year this summer with an average of 9.1 and I was 85 on the list out of 105.

So I'll be recieving arround £75 for 9 months, until june.

    Well I'm thinking of building a 140mm XC/ AM/ FR hardtail.

So I'll need a strong frame, the fork will probably be a Pike, Recon 351 with Maxle,
Revelation 2009 with Maxle (hopefully they won't be sold all until spring), or even that
160mm U=turn Lyrik at CRC with 1.5" steerer, but only if I can find a frame with 1.5" headtube.

Wheels will probably be some Mavic En521 or Ex721 on Hope front hub,
rear don't know but Hope will make a big hole in the budget.

    True lawman.

But you know, considering my Dart 2 is 2450g another 100g won't make much difference.
Also the MmmBop is 1.8kg and my curent frame is 2.1kg, so I'll actually lose weight.

Ohhh, noooooo, I just saw that the Lyrik U-turn is discontinued at CRC. :(
Well, my hopes weren't that high that the fork will remain unsold until February.

Yes but, you'll risk making it really front heavy, which from my own experience can make drop-off and jumps a little scary!

I've never thought on that until I saw that Revelation for £350 which I could get it for under £300 without 19% VAT.
The only thing I really don't like is the fixed 150mm and the fact that the Revelation
acording to supersonic has thinner crown, stanchions and lowers than the Pike.

I want something solid so I don't worry about breaking it.

But the On-one will save me some few pounds for some pink gear and brake cables.
Btw, it'll probably be a white and black or pink and white build. :D

Thank you all for the Congratulations. :D

The new revs are meant to be THE trail fork though ... no ?

I know of someone who rides drops jumps etc at surrey hills, swinley etc on his 2010 Revs and loves them !

You can obviously change the travel with the included spacers !
