Girls first real bike...

My daughter is now at an age where she is too big for "pavement" cycles and needs her first real bike.
The only suitable one I can find is the Giant Rock XS(14"),which uses a small frame and 26" wheels,there are cheaper options but I wanted the thumb change gears not the crappy twist shifters.
The price isn't bad but I'd like more options,any suggestions on bikes and suppliers would be good,thanks.
