Going into Nottingham this morning along the A52 from the East - looked like glass -- no its salt.
It wasn't particularly cold last night so why spread salt when its does not seem to be needed?

Well, don't know about the A52 into Nottingham, but the A6 into Derby was frigid this morning. No salt that I could see, but the cold is definitely on the way. Might almost be time to consider ditching the shorts!
  • Weather forecast I have seen for the next couple of days says cloud - rain -cold -- but not "freezing cold".

depends on the area here (londonish) it's forecasted to get close to zero, nr my folks place it should be below zero for few hour in the night, over the next few days.
