Silly question, do they keep your feet much warmer or do they just look good and keep your shoes clean.

    Yes, they keep your feet warmer, especially on a wet day.

    A bit, and yes. Good for in between days when proper overshoes would be too much.

    I wear oversocks all year really, except when it's really hot, and when it's cold, then put the neoprene overshoes on.
