I am trying to compare a Yeti 575 to an Ellsworth Epiphany. I have a chance at getting either. I know the Epiphany costs more but which is the best bike?

  • Can't tell you which is best as I've not ridden the Epiphany but the 575 is a great all day epic trail bike. Mrs B has had one for a year. They're very light and although she has ridden DH trails on it I wouldn't commit it to them at pace. It's a trail bike and a bloody lovely one. In the same vein, I'd also consider the Ibis Mojo which is as light but climbs better IMO (it has the DW link, similar to a VPP design, where the yeti is faux bar link/ Single pivot)

Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day

The 575 to ride. The Ellsworth to have framed and hang on a wall.
