On the back of the excellent gig list post, what gig would you like to have been at if you could travel in time ?

Stones at Hyde park ?
Dylan at Budokan?
East 17 at a random nightclub ?

I would like to have seen Led Zeppelin early 70's or The Who.

  • Rocket From The Crypt's farewell show in 2005. It's Halloween, the band and the crowd are in fancy dress, the room is way too small and way too hot. And Rocket are playing for the last time ever.

I was there but I'd like to see it again.

Second the final Nine Inch Nails gig in LA a couple of weeks ago.

  • I was talking to a mate about top 5 fantasy gigs.

Queen - Anywhere early 80's - Freddie was a genius.
    Led Zep - 70's
    Stones - 60's
    The Who - late 60's

The last one was bizarre, we have some mates that formed a band called the Supernaturals, and they played an absolutely blasting gig in a tiny local hall - completely superb. Not a fantasy gig as we were there but worthy of a place at the top table.

Bowie on the Ziggy tour aprrox.1972

Zeppelin, mid 70s in the US around the time of Physical Grafitti

    The Last Waltz

Springsteen in the US at the Roxy or Bottom Line and around the release of Darkness. Also about 2 years ago, when he played a low key charity gig and played the whole of Born to Run and Darkness back to back.

The Who, early 70s, possibly the first Charlton show.

The Stones approx.1972, still hungry and dangerous.
