Hi all does any one know when the 2010 range will be out. Local Halfords say feb 2010 yet the 2009 range was launched Oct 2008.
I'm looking at getting either a team or pro and could do with seeing new speck/colour before i rush out and buy a 2009 model.
any clue on launch date would be great.

  • I don’t think Halfords and Boardman don't do the annual September updates as others do.

I don't think Boardman do all that updating stuff each year. I've just been out on my Boardman FS Pro for the first time and what a bike for the money. I waited nearly 5 weeks for it and it was well worth it. My lad is a Halfords bike monkey so I got a good trade discount as well. The colour is like Pearl white, very nice.

Dont wait any longer get one bought

    Hope this helps Cheers Wogger

I think the trend for bike manufacturers this year is still to slightly reduce spec for the same price, or to slightly increase price for the same spec. I am sure others will correct me if I am wrong.

On this evidence, it is unlikely that you will get a better specced bike if you wait for a 2010 model. You might have 2010 components instead of 2009, if that matters though.

The only other issue is that you might find the 2009 Boardman bikes get discounted closer to the release date for the 2010 models. Whether they get discounted, and by how much, is not guaranteed however.

I think i might go for a 2009 team as i get the feeling the spec will drop rather than the price go up, thanks for the reply's
  • offical from Halfords on this is that the 2009 range is the 2010 range and will not be replaced or updated  . Boardman belives the range is good enough as is.
  • the boardman range run with 18 months, so means as the 09 models havent been long released theres a fair while to wait!

I really don't know why they just didn't call it the 2010 range - people would think they were better value!
  • Seems likes they were planning on releasing them much sooner in 2009, as many of the bikes were released early but not available for some time.

The last I heard was that there would be no full 2010 range: the full range revamp is due for 2011 (probably late next year). They've released three 'limited edition' versions of the HT, hybrid and road models and introduced a new CX bike quite recently.

  • from what i gathered when i bought my pro fs full suss they dont seem to change ranges every year like the likes of specialised, trek etc but one things for sure the bike i have just bought is fantastic value for money with a fantastic spec
