would love to take the cult and u2 (if its old u2, not the pale imitation these days) and add them to my list. suede, loved them briefly for about 2 weeks one summer, would be great just to hear Beautiful ones.

I can't write a list, but the single best ever gig - from clubs to full on-stadium rock - was....
Love/Hate at the Newcastle Riverside on their first UK tour just after Blackout in the Red Room was released. 1992-ish??

Seen loads mainly not famous though, best gig ever was Nickel Creek at the wulfrun amazing sound and fantastic musicians.
Pantera were great too although completely different, and less than jake were the most fun.

Iron Maiden at Earls Court were just amazing!! That was my first gig and haven't been to a gig since where the crowd were so 'involved'. Bruce Dickinson is just an incredible front man!!0

Seeing Toots and the Maytals, live at the Town Hall, Barry Town, Christmas Eve, 1972.
I was 15, with 3 mates. Got totally pissed, went back stage to meet Toots etc.
Sang some songs with 'em. He was amazed that Welsh guys knew Jamaican songs!
Missed our last train back to Cardiff, had to get a taxi. Cost a bloody fortune...

best I have seen was kaisers main guy launch into the crowd in the barrowlands during i predict a riot guitar bit- emerged after disappearing minus his tie, jacket and one shoe, bouncer threw him on stage, he grabbed the mic as he jumped back up and started singing just at his moment to come back in, very very impressive
this was after the support (the cribs I recall?) had stage dived but knocked himself out cold for 2 mins- one of the guitarists sand 2 songs while main guy stumbled about obv out of it on stage before suddenly starting to sing midway through a 3rd song- cracking gig 0 -

You sure this isn't just a not-so-subtle way of saying "look how much I am into music and look at how many gigs I go to"?
Has to be radiohead for me but the only other band I've seen (other than support bands) is Cooper temple clause.

nah not at all Teagar, I like music but not a fanatic about it- just a way of spending cash in the good old days when I was at uni. If I was trying to show off I would have listed fake bands or really obscure ones to show off my proper indie credentials

I played guitar in a band and had a radio show / did live DJing (dance music) myself and have seen many many 'guitar' bands.
However, Some of the best nights out have been 'club nights' where DJs from a particular, erm, club night, came to the Uni.
Apart from the Jane's Addiction gig which was mind-blowing I have found the plinky-plonk beep beep music gigs the best. With the two I listed really shining.0 -

+1 awesome. Blur were always one of my fave bands (1st CD I ever bought was the single of There's no other way!) and I've seen them a few times.
All the times I've seen them the venue has been too big and there has been a lack of atmosphere and cack sound quality.0 -

OK, a number of them were at Reading this year so not a list of gigs as such
But number 1 out of all that has to be Rolling Stones. Just brilliant in every way. Prodigy were also amazing and Kaiser Chiefs but on an incredible show getting everyone involved. I still wouldn't buy their music, but would gladly pay to see them live again
Am also going to see Airbourne Toxic Event at the O2 Academy in Oxford as they were fantastic at Reading (never heard of them before that....... I urge anyone to look them up on Spotify0 -
