How is that an argument for settling?

    I prefer neither.

Dirt... Which makes no sense because it's so irrelevant to most of my riding. But it's well built. MBUK's actually my sort of biking so I should like it more but it doesn't work as well for me. Then again, my favourite magazine is Practical Performance Car, and I can't drive, so...

I guess Singletrack isn't an acceptable answer  All just personal taste

    Both offer different things.

I read Dirt for its cover of races, and for the testing.

MBUK is more my type of riding, and so the one that i'd get more often between them.

Both a bit dull to be honest. If I buy a mag nowadays it's Singletrack as it's more lifestyle based and very laid back in its approach

    +1 to that.

MBUK is chasing an image, but I've just become bored of that now, and white print on a grey background isn't appreciated.

I see Dirt as more to do with just getting out on the bike, not about stupid watches and 'cool' hats.

All just a matter of taste, as Northwind said.

playboy is crap. Too much writing and not enough pictures.
  • i've tred many mags, but I always come back to MBUK.

I'm not sure what it it, but the style of it reminds me of oldschool MTB, in a relaxed oldschool cool sorta ways.

Other mags on the market are either too serious or trying to hard to be something else... Dirt for instance, I can't read. Whats with the text and layout?!

MBUK, it doesn't leave print on my butt when I wipe it...
  • I subscribe to and enjoy both for different reasons.

MBUK has the best reviews and is best for drooling over kit, although it has it's downsides i.e. Doddy has the worst fashion sense ever and I want to stab that trail master twat Russel Boringface!

Dirt covers more DH (which I like) and tends to focus more on the social side of riding, but isn't very objective when reviewing kit.

They both compliment each other and are by miles the two best mags out there.

    That genuinely made me LOL.
