Some details here:

May 16th - 23rd... first ever mountain top finish... 46 km(!) TT.

I guess that means there won't be many Americans in the Giro next year.

Damn and blast! Why did they move that? :(

I enjoyed that race in the bleak barren winter months.

I think they moved it to May in order to get better weather, and a mountain finish. But then they nullify that with a really long TT...

Have to say I completely agree, I really enjoyed watching it of an evening in the winter.
  • It was a very attractive February prospect.
I would have enjoyed it, very much, in early April.
I will be unable to digest it, amongst the Giro fest.
As a result, I suspect it will mainly disappear off the Euro radar, a la Georgia.

Those profiles look less enticing than last year, but are they accurate?
No Big Bear climb posted, as yet,for the day before the ridiculously long ITT.
Maybe the plan to re-name it the Trophy de Levi Leipheimer?

i agree with blazing saddles could be a mistake, i got the impression they only drew some big european teams because it was early in the year so a good oportunity for some leisurely training rides while the American riders fought amongst themselves

An overreaction to the bad weather at this years event?
