To mark the anniversary, the 2010 Tour is set to have a stage from Luchon to the Col d'Aubisque, via the Peyresourde, Aspin, Tourmalet and Soulor.

That would be very good. Still not as hard as the marmotte though - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Lu ... e-Aubisque

Assuming they don't take any more detours that's the route, only 87 miles, unfortunately the climbing stats are buggered but nowhere near the 16,000 feet I'd guess

  • Going the other way I think.

  • ahh the same stage as in 98 when massi won just ahead of pantani and riders were crashing all over the shop descending the aubisque in appalling conditions

not what it says on cycling weekely but either way round would be pretty special, the way you say does the much harder side of the aubisque
  • 100% it is from Luchon to Col d'Aubisque.

Downhill finish. It'll be another chipper, eh?
