Cartridge bottom bracket

Just a quick tech question, I'm fitting a Campag cartridge bottom bracket into my new project....should it be fitted dry or greased?

  • Greased, unless you never want to be able to take it out ever again :wink:
    Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos
  • Just grease the threads real well to prevent corrosion and prevent it becoming stuck in the BB shell when you want to remove it in the future. No need to grease the bearings though as they are greased and sealed already.

  • i use loctite on mine- doesnt come lose and doesnt seize
