BBC Sussex at it again!

This time it was the morning drive programme hosted by Neil Pringle, a noted lightweight rent-a-gob. The subject, "Why don't cyclists use their bells?" I sent a text of complaint and an off-air call to complain that this sort of rabble-rousing did little to help the cause of road safety for which we are all, cyclist and peds, responsible. Stay tuned to 104.8 FM in the Sussex area and make you views known whenever they decide to reach for the easy cyclist-bashing escape from a slow news day.

    I don't even have a bell - and yes I do know it's the law.
    Fecking useless if you ask me.

    In the UK mainland only legal to have one fitted at point of sale. Its perfectly legal to remove it after ad ride without. Though NI might be slighty different...?

    As for why dont cyclists use their bells... because they're too quiet for modern roads. Why dont motorists switch off their noisey engines when stuck in traffic..? :wink::lol:
