xc around york area

hi, i have recently started to get into xc riding. i have had a couple of trips to dalby doing red trail (on my beaten up rigid frame thats older and heavier than i am :wink: ) and strensall common has become a regular weekend ride. but i would like to try out some new places, so if anybody has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. anywhere within an hour drive or hour cycle from the city centre would be best. thanks

    some good riding to be had around the castle howard area i live local and dont get bored of going up there :)

    thanks, that isnt too far to cycle for me, as i live in the huntington/strensall area. its all my cycling mates that live in town so that means further for them to go :wink:

    just get an os map or a guide :wink: and you can find some good riding
