A certain Anti Doping Body is targetting riders for sure. I thought that was WADA, who else is there to do that? UCI or National Bodies? :? I'm confused now. Mr iainf72, can you let on who you think is targetting riders? You seem to be a man who knows.

I'm not "in the know" but WADA are a policy body. The actual policing is left to the UCI and the anti-doping agencies. So for Sammy that would be the Spanish ADA.

The UCI would test him the most.

Not that well see it, as it's all over inside the first 50kms of the stage.

It´s a very good warm up to Monachil-Sierra Nevada by Sabinas (a combination almost like Telegraphe - Galibier).

A very good stage in my opinion

Oh, it is, definitely. Monachil has been the contenders graveyard in recent editions.
Those final 27+kms climb over 1700 vertical metres.
Just a pity that we won't get to see this first climb and the gap between the two peaks is so big.

I'm looking forward to this tour, good field, just hope they sort out the Valverde situation one way or the other before next Friday. How long does it take the blazer brigade to make a decision? Maybe they need a few more liquid lunches?

I'm going to see the two Murcian stages and the Valverde supporters will be out in full.
Route goes within a couple of kms of his residence.

Kloeden is out, apparently the decision was made before he injured his wrist in the Eneco Tour.

It'll be a snorefest in a dust bowl. Like usual then.

+1 for truth. Long, long stages with no one watching, not even a donkey, through the arid moonscape.

Maybe no donkeys (unless Bruseghin is riding), but lots of these:
