Hi,
Just a quick one,
Which is the better buy rear derailleur, an X.0 carbon (2007) for £80 delivered or an X.9 (2009) for £50 delivered? Both are medium cage.
Thinking of upgrading from 10 year old XT 8 speed, have spare 2009 X.9 shifters.
Have the 2009 X.0 on my Boardman pro, which is nice - but unsure of the difference above because of the year gap.
Cheers

Personally, I'd go with the X9. Practically no difference in feel to the X0, not much heavier and has a much sturdier alu cage. X0 is only really worth it for the bling factor, I've seen a lot of reports of the carbon cage snapping after an impact on it.
It's mainly the shifters that dictate the feel of the gearshift.0 -
Thanks for the advice, X.9 it is.
Which cables are recommended?0
