I'm looking for a 'baggy-ish' pair' of shorts that have padding around the more 'sensitive' areas.

I'm not really a fan of the lycra look I'm afraid, so that's a bit of a no no.

Thanks in advance.

I've got a couple of pairs of the bog standard endura fireflies and they're perfectly decent - comfy, and convenient. I've never worn any of the expensive stuff though, so I can't really comment on the big budget gear.
  • The cheaper the better - thanks for the tip, Mr Mghty.

I just need something that will stop me from getting a sore arse after a few too many hours on my bike. It was getting to the point where I'd have to stand up on my pedals for half of the trip home.

Endura humvee shorts are good and come with a click in liner.

Singletracks are the better shorts but have no liner however you can use the one from the humvee in them as they have the clickfast endura use throughout their range.

Bear in mind endura gear comes up a bit on the small side.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
