Advice on which BB to Buy

Hi

I would like to ask peoples opinions of External Bottoom Brackets.

I have been using Shimano Ultegra but they do not seem to last. I was looking at Hope Road BB and also Rotor SABB and was wondering if anyone had any experience of them.

Also does anyone have any other External BB suggestions.

    I've run Ultegra and Hope ceramic and the Hopes have lasted a bit longer but not much :shock: . The Hope is more easily serviceable though, with spare bearings etc. Acros seem to have a good rep and I've got a stainless set to go in next so we'll see how they go.

    There's always the agrument of BB facing making a difference, and the issue of preloading the bearings, so keep that in mind when assessing longevity of various units.

    I was going to buy a Chris King or a Hope. Then I noticed that CRC were selling 105s for £16 (about 20% of the cost of the others). I figured there was no guarantee they would last 5 times as long so I bought 3 sets of 105s.
