I got myself a set of Gore Professional cables and I am wanting to put them into my Campag Surosa but I have never changed cables on a road bike, does anyone know fo a guide, ideally with pics?

Thanks

Have a look on youtube and you should find something but its not very hard as I have done mine for the first time.

    Never had campag gears before.

Depends on what model of Ergos you have - older ones it goes in the side whereas on the new ones, they go in from the bottom. Release the thumb lever to take all the slack out the cable - release the cable clamp on the gear mech and push the cable back through - the nipple should poke through the lever arm. you may want to pull back the lever hoods for a clearer view. The most critical job is cutting the outers - use the old ones as templates - unless changing to different bars / spacers / stem which may change the length
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Instructions for installing cables onto Ergopower shifters can be found on Campagnolo's web site.
