Bar centres - not bar ends ?

Hi
Using my flat bar hybrid for commuting and find it slow as hell since i put marathon plus tyres on.
In the wind i always ride with my hand either side of the stem to improve position.
What is the name of the small hand grip/.bars which go either side of the stem, not the bar ends as such.

No, not aero bars you see on tri bikes. I seen a pair of plastic 'hand grips' which fit the flat bar either side of stem.
These were on a mountain bike mind you, your hand position is kind of like giving a 'thunbs up'

I've got fairly standard carbon bar ends either side of my stem and they work a treat. Is that what you mean or were you thinking about Spinaci bars?================================
