new pads and clean the rims.
I like the ashima triple combond pads personally.0 -
also try cleaning the break pad itself aswell as your rim, and lightly rub it with sandpaper to give it some texture.
Then ensure your cable going to your brake is quite taut0 -
If the blocks are worn try some of these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Kool_ ... 300005952/

These old style 105 blocks don't have inserts. In desperation I bought some Aztecs from Evans, which had a very limited range. They are an improvement on what I had, but still not that good. Would these Koolstop inserts be a sueful upgrade on brand new Aztecs?0

My brake blocks are odd, after a long ride I usually sand them down and clean the rims, sometimes even after doing that, well most times, the brake performance has being pretty naff, but the other day I went out and the performance was amazing, if I pushed as hard as I'd have normally done I'd have flew over the handlebars. Does the rim or brake pad have dodgy leyers or something?0

Do you know if these 105-Ultegra inserts fit Aztec?0
