sizing help

I'm thinking about buying my brother an Altura Night Vision Jacket for his birthday but I'm really confused about what size to order (need to do present by post!). He spends a bit too much time in the gym so he's around 5ft10", has a 30" waist but a 44" chest. Looking at the Altura sizing guide this would put him in an XL jacket. Does this sound right?

    Yep, I'd say 44" chest would be an XL. Being that shape with a disproportionate chest, his arms might be too short for the sleeves but it's not too much bother to bunch the sleeves up a bit. I'd imagine the waist could be tightened with a cord at the bottom of the jacket.

    I have one of these in L im a 42" chest, 36" waist and 6ft and it has draw string cord on the bottom of the jacket - if you buy from your LBS they should swap it for a L if the XL is to big so long as you leave the tags attached but ask them first!
