    Hi Dr U Idh

We have not got a GPX file yet but there is a YOUTUBE video featuring the route in Google Earth

    Try:
    http://www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?id=14649

This is my BEST GUESS at the route using the route shown on
    http://www.cyclosport.org/eventdetails. ... entid=2322

In particular I am not sure how the route goes through Slaithwaite.

I would only use this as a rough guide until torelli produces the GPX file.

Fabby - should be enough to give me a good idea. This would be my 1st Sportive south of the border, so quite interested to see how it looks on a map.

It's a fast hilly route but Don Black runs audaxes around that area for about £4. Looks a good ride tho', the hills aren't stupidly steep and the roads are A or fast B roads.

  • I'm going to be doing this for my first ever sportive. I work with they guy in the video on the white scott. I'm reliably informed it should be a really good ride not to mention a great curry after. :D
I believe that this is the first sportive that they have organised so I would presume they will be out to impress. I'm really looking forward to it :D

So all you northerners who whinge that there aren't enough sportives up here, lets support this guy and make it a great day.

    I'm tempted by this one.

If only for the free curry. Or the £25 curry with free bike ride?

  • The 60km ride feeding station is only 10km before the finish line!??!! :?
  • If your only doing 60k do you really need a feeding station at all?? I wouldn't normally have anything on a 60k ride other than my brekkie and the drink I carry.

I think its there as the half way point for the 100k.

Anyway just think of that nice hot curry waiting for you at the finish
