I read a lot (sometimes in the pub), walk quite a bit (often to the pub) and take the kids out (you guessed it). Along with a full time job, daily chores, part time study for a PhD and cycling that doesn't leave much time.

Fuel consumption isn't great though !!!

I don't think mpg comes into it with that sort of car  Sounds completely bonkers to me!
Ours has 286bhp but weighs not far off 1700kgs - oh well!

I keep snakes. So far me and the gf have seven - a corn snake, a royal python (the pretty one, my favourite, three brazilian rainbow boas and two boa constrictors. All babies at the moment, none of them more than three feet or so long.

We also have an iguana, just for variety.

Aside from that I od a bit of fund raising for charity, read a lot (mainly pulp sci-fi), go to the gym and tinker with computers. Many of these activities are accompanied by loud music.

Haha, a lot of people say something similar!

Honestly, unless you've got a bona fide phobia, you'd probably be fine. It's the idea that freaks most people out. Even my grandma was OK holding them when she visited!

The rainbows are great cos they're mostly happy to just pretend your hand is a tree and then sit there doing nothing much.

If interesting is what you want then one of the boa constrictors are your best bet - they can be a little bit nippy, especially around feeding day. Very inquisitive, always exploring, usually looking for something to try and eat, and they can strike faster than you eye can follow!

Or maybe the corn, he's just constatly trying to escape. He's come close a few times too...

    Yep, good old AMCA.

Started up again last year after 11 year layoff aged 37. Had a great year nearly made it back to Experts.

Started this year with a 3rd, 2nd and rupured ACL in race 3! New kit, new bike, new boots, helmet, goggle etc! Hoping to get back on it again in April next year.

Enjoying cycling a lot now as I can't do much else, but really staring to miss it. Even going to meetings and watching my mates race can be really tough!

I haven't really done much this year - couple of twinshock events and that's it. Will be at Farleigh in Sept for the classic MXdN. Building a new (old) bike at the moment and hoping it will be ready in time....

Are you the same Dave M that posts on adtrip..?

  • Hello

I climb (rock), surf (badly) and kayak/canoe. I also do yoga. I also spend an inordinately long time in my bath reading magazines. Which is where I am heading now :D .

Work. Extra work. Reading books on strategic management.
    Stalk forums.
Listen to classical music and immerse myself in "culture" so that I can contribute to conversations between ridiculously posh people.
