This has to be the dumbest thing ever. Someone there really has it in for him.

Filippo Simeoni has been suspended for four months by the Italian Cycling Federation for returning his 2008 Italian Championship jersey in protest in May.

...

In announcing the suspension on Wednesday, the federation did not say when it would start or end, or why the return of the jersey was found to be a violation.

    I can't see any comments.

I'd be interested to know how they can justify this. Does it say somewhere that he needs to wear the jersey once he's champion?

Isn't it supposed to be an honour? Clearly it wasn't an honour for him and he should be allowed to send it back.
