I'm moving house soon and in the middle of a much needed sort out. I cam across disc of photos Robin Mather took of the large Audax he made for me.

This will not be to everyone's taste but it rides beautifully, and everyone will appreciated the workmanship in the frame.

We can only see the Raleigh at the moment. Perhaps you nee to set the gallery to "public" in Picasa, so we can see it. Robin Mather's frame are beautiful - I'm jealous...

Same here. The Raleigh is very nice too obviously, but I would like to see the new one. :)

Sorry. Still learning how to use Picassa. Now set to public.

The other bike is a 531 frame, I picked it up for £80. It rides well, but Robin's is an absolute joy.

Lovely, and very understated. Refreshing too to see silver components everywhere.

And now for the bad news. Less that 50 miles after a bike shop replaced the gear cables an did a general service the rear dérailleur was gobbled up by the wheel.

Robin has his bike back to replace the rear dropout. The good news is I will get the bike back "as new" with three years scratches disappeared.

That was my motivation to get the 531 frame sorted. I had been meaning for a bit to try it with moustache bars. That frame too rides very well. It is a little heavier, especially with its old gears and wheels. If I work a bit harder (which may be a good thing) it goes as fast!
